The Account Written by Blasius Daniel Macknet
Whereas our Daughter Sarah Meng living in Germantown is
desirous of knowing her line of Nativity, I therefore, through
this make known unto her the same, so far as I have Knowledge of
it. Her Father was a Burger's Son of Manheim in Pfaltz (a Place
so called) and came to this Country with his Mother very young;
his Name was Jacob Colladay; his father died crossing the Ocean.
His Mother's Name is Catharina Juliana, Father's Name Ribenkam,
was born in 1703 in Wasinfried in Hessia where her Father named
Jn Philip Ribenkam was Preacher and preached the Gospel 19 years
and his Father was Preacher at Eschwig (a Place so called) Her
Mothers Name was Magretta (sic) Caatharine, a Ministers Daughter
of Saxone in Hessia, her Fathers Name Sattorin, Her Mothers Name
Anna Juliana of Luninburgh in Holstein. This may serve as a
Memorendom, if perhaps sooner or later some of the Relations
should come to this part of the World. Your Grand Mother , a
Widow, came over with six grown children in 1726, Viz. 3 Sons
and 3 Daughters the eldest Daughter she left in Germany in
Berlinburgh, where her Father died she is married to a Merchant
of that Place, named Holtzklaus who is marryed & lives in
the [undecipherable] Mother died. Her Husband's name, is I
believe, Reuschell. Here follows a List of Your Mothers Children
born in this Country Viz 1st Margaret Catherine born 1728
Sept 23 dead 2 Anna Maria 1731 April 23 3 Jacob Colladay 1733
December 15 4 Catharine 1735 May 30 5 Sarah 1737 December 12 6

And Whereas I was well acquainted with your Grand Mother, I
can give her the Testimony that she was a pious good Woman, led
a Virtuous life & was an Ornament to her Sex. The follies
and pleasures of this World, she despised & took upon her
the [undecipherable] Cross of Christ [rest of line
undecipherable] Blasius Daniel Macknet
