William McLean traveled through Canada from
Philadelphia and settled in Dunn, Wisconsin. One of his
children "Charles McLean Colladay " created Colladay
Park on Lake Kegonsa to be used as a high-class summer
resort. This is a quote from his biography:
"The family spends their winters in
Madison, and returns to the farm in the summer where he runs a
high class summer resort. He has about one and one-half
miles lake front of Lake Kegonsa devoted to that purpose.
It is one of the finest locations to be found in the country and
during each season is patronized by a large assembly of
prominent guests from various parts of the country."
